LAB73_STARWARS_SOUNDDESIGN

Real/Lab73 has a good working relationship with local creative agency keltie cochrane who deliver high end graphic design, illustration and interactive.

We've worked on a few sound design projects with them including, Gateshead council animation (music track) & Gateshead College helping with the Dolby mix for Cinema.

Lab73 went mental when we had the opportunity to create the sound for the new Out Cast book advertisement for Lucus Films. Although this was a dream job it was quite tricky as we had to edit the orchestra to fit with the 30 second sting, though the sound effects made up for this especially the light saber assigned to the sampler keyboard:)

NEW STUDIO_NEW DESIGN *00.11

Its been on the cards for ages but I actually focused and built the new studio layout giving me better workspace for Motion & Sound Design.

Yesterday I think I've nailed the final ident, Ive been pondering for ages with a shape for real, origanally I had a Japanese icon but after some doodling the Pie shapes where formed which are the 4 letters of real. Hopefully new website is going to be launched this summer with more of the commercial stuff I do plus it will have a side for my own creative stuff.

New tracks have been added to my soundcloud and a new experimental Album is on its way.

A new style of sequences Im adapting to form part of a sequence of visuals Im not sure how im going to do this but its going to be in 3D and represent sound responce from frequeces measured by sub.......more to come

Just a quick Image manipulation from one of my photo from Belin, the Babylon Cinema held host to the Pictoplasma Festival 2011. Each day was a full on treat with loads of insparational work and speakers. Roll on Next year :)

This is frame for the WWR a short animation that Im working on dedicated to a very inspiring artist that I love called Ashley Wood. Its getting there with the look now I just have to start building more into the enviroments and street shots.

Now this is me being a bit geeky here with my love for Trapcodes particular plugin's which Ive used abit on projects but Its only now which I should have been keeping my eye on that 2 is out or has been for some while but there is some interesting stuff that you can do with it. Im posting this example up not for the tune or for what the VFX artist has done with it but really the style and posibility's that can be pushed from film & animation. mmm this has got me thinking?
